Morro do Pai Inácio

1 / 3

Morro do Pai Inácio is the postcard image of Chapada Diamantina: a short, easy climb leads to a viewpoint at 1,150 meters, with a 360° view over the region's canyons and mesas — you can spot Morro do Camelo and Três Irmãos from up there. It's the most famous (and busiest) sunset spot in the Chapada. Legend has it the name comes from an enslaved man, Pai Inácio, who jumped from the mountain with only an umbrella to escape being shot.
