Vila do Capão

Vila do Capão is the heart of the valley: cobblestone streets, colorful houses, vegetarian restaurants, and local crafts, all just minutes from the suites. It's common to run into street performers around the village — clowns, jugglers, musicians. On Sundays the square hosts a crafts fair, and on Thursdays a farmers' market brings organic and locally grown produce, drawing locals and visitors alike. The festival calendar is strong too: the traditional Festival de Jazz do Capão, with free programming and music workshops, and the Reggae Festival, which takes over Praça São Sebastião every year. The highlight is São João: several days straight of live shows, bonfires, and street food, with the whole village taking part — no big stage or heavy production. Plenty of visitors say they had the time of their lives just being part of the celebration.
