Cachoeira da Fumaça

1 / 6

Cachoeira da Fumaça is one of Brazil's tallest waterfalls, at roughly 340 meters, inside Chapada Diamantina National Park. It's one of the region's most visited, monumental landmarks — the name comes from the visual effect of the fall, which turns into mist before touching the ground, giving the impression of smoke. The trail to the clifftop viewpoint runs about 12km round trip and rewards you with a breathtaking view straight down the edge.
